The Feast Day for Agios Emilianos is July 18.

Agios Emilianos came from Dorystolo, a city of Moesia in Thrace. He lived in the 4th century AD. and was martyred during the reign of the Roman emperor Julian the Pervert. He was the slave of a cruel and fanatical pagan. He respected and loved Christ, believing in Him as the true God.

Because of his name, the Saint has been associated with speech and therefore with children's speech problems. That is why he is considered a patron of children who have speech problems.
