A Tsarouchi - τσαρούχι is a type of shoe which is typically known nowadays as part of the traditional uniform worn by the Evzones of the Greek Presidential Guard. 

After the liberation from the Turks the Greeks added more significance to the design. The pompoms represent the tree of liberty, within the tip of the tsarouchia is a hidden blade that was camouflaged by the tassel (pom pom).  The blade would extract and was used during hand to hand combat. Thus symbolically defending the tree of liberty.

Our Monogram Decor Collection is Exclusive to Miss Ble Blu and our partners.  All pieces are hand crafted, and offer a 3D effect.
